FAQ

When is the wedding?

The wedding will be Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 5 pm.

Carter and Lindsay plan to arrive at Mammoth Lakes for the week leading up to the wedding, and invite you to come ski and aprés with them throughout the week.

How do I get to Mammoth Lakes?

Transportation recommendations can be found on our “Getting Here” page.

But short answer: Reno is the nearest major airport with bus or car rental options to the mountain. Bishop, CA has the most accessible regional airport, with flights on United Airlines that require transferring through Denver.

Where should I stay?

Discounted wedding block details can be found on the Lodging page.

Depending on your group’s size, there are numerous hotels, Airbnbs, and VRBOs in the area.

We do recommend booking early as places fill quickly!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony is planned to be outdoors, at the top of the mountain. We can expect snow to be on the ground and the weather is often windy, so boots and jackets are recommended. Please note that the ceremony will be standing room only. If the weather is unwieldy, the ceremony will relocate to the reception site.

The reception will be indoors.

To get to both the ceremony and reception, folks will need to ride a ski gondola up the mountain. (It’s a beautiful ride!)

What should I wear?

Welcome Ceremony: Western Mountain Chic

We’re bringing a little taste of Texas to the Sierras. Fun country attire is encouraged – Bring your cowboy boots and hats, casual party dresses or denim is welcome.

The dinner will be mostly indoors, with access to the patio.

Wedding Ceremony & Reception: Dressy Winter Chic

We plan to have the ceremony outside ON the snow and mountain weather can be unpredictable. Pair your winter dress or pantsuit with a warm winter jacket and snow boots or flats. Consider a beanie, gloves, and scarf in case the weather is even chillier.

Heels may sink in the snow – but feel free to bring a change of shoes for the reception if you’d like.

How do I get to and from the wedding venue?

To get to the venue, you will be taking the gondola from Mammoth Mountain’s Main Lodge, located at 10001 Minaret Rd #1300, Mammoth Lakes, CA. ***Please note: This is NOT the same gondola as in the Village.

Please arrive early as the gondola ride itself takes about 10 minutes to get to the top of the mountain.

Shuttle information to the gondola will be available closer to the time of the wedding.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

The ceremony will begin at 5 pm. Please note that you will need to take a gondola to the top of the mountain, which takes approximately ten minutes so account for loading time and travel time into your plan.

We recommend arriving 45 to 30 minutes early.

Please note: the ceremony will be standing room only! There will be a small viewing area from inside the gondola building, or we welcome those who need accomodations to meet us at the reception.
